Scholarships

A slogan that we have adapted here at the NSFSI is, "Share the Knowledge" we believe that education is KEY to a successful career in the Fire Service, That is why we offer 3 scholarship Opportunities every year to give students the help to achieve their education goals.

Nebraska Fire Chiefs Association Scholarship

To receive one of the Scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:
Must be a Nebraska Resident
Full time Nebraska senior high school student, or currently attending college.
Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5
Proof of Acceptance into a college or trade school as a full time student and his/her field of study must be fire service related.
Submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation (excluding immediate family members)
If you are currently a high school senior you must submit a letter from the high school counselor verifying grade point average, class rank, and enrollment in college and include your high school transcripts.
In 500 words or more (typed): Explain his/her educational goals and career objectives.


SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS:

Bill Meehan Scholarship= $500.00
Butch Doyle/NSFSI Scholarship= $750.00
Nebraska Fire Chief’s Association Scholarship= $500.00

The recipients will be selected by a scholarship committee appointed by the Nebraska Society of Fire Service Instructors and the Nebraska Fire Chiefs Association.
